Their aim was to enter the Guinness Book of Records for the most economical round-the-world car journey ever, using no more than 50 tankfuls of fuel, and at the same time win the Shell Fuel Economy Challenge. The new in-car iPod console offered by Volkswagen Individual provides the digital music experience, enabling you to take as many as 15,000 tracks along with you every time you head off in your Golf. The iPod is simply plugged into the console mounted in the centre armrest, and can then be controlled by the audio system buttons or from the multi-function steering wheel.
