Volkswagen offers a sound experience of an unprecedented calibre with the optional DYNAUDIO SOUND. It acoustically transforms the vehicle interior into a concert hall, where emotions become audible. All occupants can enjoy music at an unrivalled level of perfection. The DYNAUDIO sound system is integrated harmoniously into the interior and only a subtle logo on the speaker covers betrays its presence. With regard to the speakers, the stereo and multi-channel systems from Dynaudio are internationally renowned as premium class.

The sound specialists at Dynaudio have brought an extraordinary technological concept to fruition. Ten top-class speakers* plus ten digital amplifiers* with DSP (Digital Sound Processor) technology and a total minimum continuous output of 600 watts result in music reproduction of an unprecedented standard. The concept includes a dedicated amplifier for each speaker. This amplification technology makes it possible for all components to be harmonised with one another. Tailoring the system to the specific model interior by means of the digital signal processor promises a pure, pristine listening experience of the highest calibre for all occupants.

For resolution of the highest frequencies, two 28-millimetre fabric tweeters are installed in the front. Two 20-millimetre fabric tweeters are located in the rear for a homogeneous sound distribution throughout the interior. In the front section of the interior, two special, extra-large 52-millimetre fabric speakers cover the middle range. They are unique in the field of in-car audio and an essential requirement for balanced, smooth voice reproduction without any form of distortion. Four woofers are firmly anchored in the door constructions to deliver a precise bass with a deep range. The woofer membranes are made of the exclusive material MSP (magnesium silicate polymer), which is particularly light, dimensionally stable and resonance-free. The membranes are driven by extra-powerful twin magnets, enabling extreme dynamics and stability under load.

All speakers in the DYNAUDIO sound system have excellent even sound diffusion and they are optimally positioned to suit the individual vehicle interior. This achieves an ideal sound distribution. Another highlight of the system are the speaker voice coils: unlike in ordinary speakers, the voice coils of the DYNAUDIO sound system are made not of copper, but light aluminium, allowing larger coil diameters for more precise vibration characteristics. The result is authentic and transparent music reproduction.
